Just like I remember it. This must be one of my favourite Persian restaurants on the continent (let alone Malawi, and I travel a lot). One cannot fault the food if you enjoy Middle Eastern food. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options; and the meat options are cooked perfectly. Prices are reasonable and I’d probably go there if it was double.
Amazing food! Had grand mezze and got happy hour cocktails on Friday night. Grand mezze is big enough for 2 people to share and probably even more just as dinner! We didn't finish it but it was delicious. Also, I highly recommend Maluwa gin fizz - sweet and smooth. Also, not sure if it's every Friday night but there was a DJ when I went!
So many delicious dishes on the menu that it's difficult to decide where to start! I don't think you can go wrong. The pita breads that come with dips are actually the closest thing to tex-mex tortillas that I've found in Malawi. Their cocktail menu is amazing! The Mlimi is delicious.

Found this place behind my hotel and had to try it. I love lamb so that was my choice. Did not disappoint! Delicious! And the prices were reasonable.
This Persian and Middle Eastern restaurant serves exceptionally good food. I tried the Zeereh Polo va Kufteh, which is cumin basmati rice served with slow-cooked meatballs and red sauce. The rice was delicious enough to enjoy on its own. It's a generous portion that could easily satisfy two people. Although I'm not typically a tea drinker, I was pleasantly surprised by the orange-infused spiced tea with honey, which boasted a terrific scent and great taste. Service was prompt; the waiters were friendly and efficient. There's ample parking, and the restaurant caters to a variety of dietary needs including non-vegetarian, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free options (though dishes may contain nuts). The ambiance is enhanced by beautiful lights hanging over the outdoor garden seating area, making it a charming spot for a meal. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available.
Orchid is just fantastic! Anyone in Lilongwe should have an amazing meal here. A great atmosphere and flavors that jump off the plate. If you have a group, the large sampler is a must. For the main meal, you will love the fish dish on rice which had the most flavor. We did family style and ate a bit of everything - very incredible!
